What Makes Christmas Magical To You?
I am one of those people who truly adores Christmas – a feeling that has only grown since we had our two girls, Lélou and Chloé. There is something incredibly special about experiencing the season through their eyes: the excitement and the joy that spreads throughout the whole house.
For me, the magic of Christmas is, above all, about time and togetherness. It’s as if everyone slows down a little in December, allowing space simply to be –with the people we love. I treasure the quiet mornings with candlelight and the
scent of pine, and the late evenings filled with laughter, good food and twinkling lights in the windows.

What Does Your Home Look Like During December?
In December, our home transforms into a cosy, Nordic Christmas retreat – still calm and understated, but with added warmth and texture. I love that classic House Doctor atmosphere where natural materials, vintage finds and modern elements blend harmoniously in a muted colour palette.
I decorate with branches, pinecones and small details in wood, paper and glass, paired with soft textiles and warm tones. There is something magical about the contrast between the raw and the refined – a touch of lace, a velvet ribbon, and a mix of ornaments that break the simplicity and make it personal.
This year, I've decorated the HDFoy bowl with the elegant HDSnowi glass ornaments. I love the striking contrast between the raw textures and minimalist design.

Which Holiday Tradition Means The Most to You?
I cherish many traditions, but decorating the Christmas tree is the one I simply cannot do without. It’s the moment when the festive spirit truly settles in.
Even last year, when we celebrated Christmas abroad, we brought a tree and our favourite decorations with us – they simply had to come. We put on Christmas music, enjoyed gløgg and æbleskiver, and let Lélou hang the ornaments on the tree. It’s one of those moments when time seems to stand still, and all you feel is joy and togetherness.
