1 Information about the processing of personal data
Your data security is important to us, and we therefore take great care to ensure that your personal data is handled responsibly. Below you can read how House Doctor A/S which is owned by Society of Lifestyle A/S (hereinafter "Society of Lifestyle", "we", "us" or "our") process personal data about you when we act as data controller. You can also read about your rights in relation to our processing.
2 Society of Lifestyles's role as data controller
In connection with the operation of our business, we process certain personal data. We do this in order to serve you in the best possible way. We mainly collect and process general (non-sensitive) personal data.

3 What personal data do we collect and why?
We process personal data about you in a number of different situations. Read more about our processing in the different situations below.
3.1 Visitors to Society of Lifestyle's websites and users of our online services
When you visit Society of Lifestyle's websites (e.g. www.housedoctor.com or housedoctor-shop.myshopify.com (the "Website")) or use our other online services (on, for example, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, etc.), Society of Lifestyle may process information about your IP address as well as information about your computer, device and browser.
We also process information about your visit (e.g. information about how you access our websites, how you navigate around them, which pages you visit, content you view, your searches, advertisements you have seen, etc.). Personal data is collected through cookies, log files and other technologies. For more information, please go to our Cookie Information consent pop-up.
We also process personal data that you provide to us in connection with your use of the Website or our online services, for example when you fill in a form or register online, including your name, company name (if any), business or home address, work telephone number/mobile number or home telephone number/mobile number, address, telephone number, mobile number, email address, product interest, and any other information you provide to us.
We use your personal data so that we can make relevant products, deliveries and services ("Services") available to you and to improve your experience of our Website and online services and the Services we offer. We also use personal data to show you content on our and other sites based on your activities and preferences, and to limit the number of times you see the same content.
The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interests in optimising the user experience and the functionality of our websites (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation) or your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation and Section 3 of the Danish Executive Order on Cookies).
We store personal data collected in connection with your visit to our Website for one (1) year, after which we delete or anonymise the personal data. This is done on the basis of our cookie policy and our legitimate interests in gaining knowledge about the traffic patterns on our Website (statistics), optimising the user experience on our Website and securing and maintaining the functionalities of the Website.
3.2 Customers and potential customers of Society of Lifestyle
When you are a customer/potential customer of Society of Lifestyle or a contact person of one of Society of Lifestyle's customers, Society of Lifestyle will process personal data about your name, company name (if any), company address or private address, work telephone number
or private telephone number, email address, your purchases, payment details and information from publicly available sources and other information that you provide to us – for example in connection with your purchase of Services from our webshop and other situations related thereto.
We process the personal data for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement with our customers, for the purpose of providing the Services, invoicing, keeping statistics and performing quality management as well as for maintaining our customer records and providing general service, marketing and sales to our customers and potential customers.
The legal basis for processing is the agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation) or our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Information collected in connection with purchases you have made on the Website will generally be deleted three (3) years after the end of the calendar year in which you made your purchase. However, data may be retained for longer if we have a legitimate need for longer retention, for example if it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or if retention is necessary for us to comply with legal requirements.
Accounting records are kept for five (5) years until the end of a financial year in accordance with the requirements of the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
3.3 Newsletter recipients
When you receive newsletters from Society of Lifestyle, we process personal data about your name, company name (if any), company or private address, work telephone number or private telephone number, email address, telephone number (if any) and product interest. We also process information about your marketing or communication preferences and your use of the marketing we send to you (including, for example, whether you have opened an email from us, whether the email has been read and which links you have opened) and any other information you provide to us.
We process your personal data for the purpose of marketing our company and Services, and for setting up and managing your marketing subscription. We use the personal data about your preferences and usage to understand the way customers receive our marketing messages and to improve our marketing to you and other customers going forward.
We will only send you marketing material by email, SMS or other electronic means once we have obtained your consent where this is required under the Danish Marketing Practices Act.
We also use personal data about you to show you content on our and other sites based on your activities and preferences, and to limit the number of times you see the same content, as well as to measure the effectiveness of our content and marketing.
The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interests in being able to send newsletters to you (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation) and/or your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation and Section 10 of the Danish Marketing Practices Act).
Once you have consented to receive the newsletter, we will keep your data until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, unless we have another legitimate legal basis for processing the data. In accordance with the Danish Consumer Ombudsman's guidelines and requirements, we will keep evidence of your consent to send you marketing material until two (2) years after we last used your consent.
3.4 Participants in competitions
When you participate in competitions, we process personal data about your name, phone number, email address, country and your response to the competition.
We process your personal data for the purposes of managing competitions, drawing winners, etc.
The legal basis of processing is our legitimate interests in running the competition and contacting the winner (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
We will obtain your consent to use photos of you if you are shortlisted or if you win the competition. In certain competitions, Society of Lifestyle wishes to use the winner's photo for marketing purposes.
If this is relevant to you, we will obtain your consent before using your photo and publishing it on the Internet. We use Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation as the legal basis for processing.
When you participate in a competition with us but are not selected as a winner, your personal data in relation to the competition will be deleted immediately after the winner is selected.
If you are selected as a winner in the competition, your personal data will be stored for two (2) years after the prize is awarded. The retention period is fixed having regard to a potential complaint regarding the prize. To the extent that such personal data is part of a transaction, it will be retained for five (5) years in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
If we have your consent to store an image of you, we will keep it for up to two (2) years unless you withdraw your consent.
3.5 Business partners and/or suppliers to Society of Lifestyle
When you are a business partner or a supplier to Society of Lifestyle, or a contact person of a business partner/supplier, we process personal data about your name, company name, company address, work telephone number, email address and title, as well as publicly available information and other information you provide to us.
We process personal data for the purpose of contract management, receiving goods and services from our suppliers and business partners, and where appropriate to fulfil agreements with our customers.
The legal basis for processing is the agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation) or our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
We keep accounting records for five (5) years until the end of a financial year in accordance with the requirements of the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
3.6 Other general purposes of processing
We may enrich the personal data described above with information from other sources. This can be publicly available information – including information that we get from commonly available sources.
Personal data that we have collected for the purposes described above may also be processed by Society of Lifestyle for the purposes of complying with laws and regulations which Society of Lifestyle is subject to in the course of operating our business or in order to comply with various reporting or disclosure obligations under applicable laws and regulations (Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
If Society of Lifestyle sells all or part of our business or sells or transfers our assets or is otherwise involved in a merger or transfer of all or a substantial part of our business, Society of Lifestyle may transfer your personal data to the party or parties involved in the transfer as part of that transaction where permitted
by law (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Finally, Society of Lifestyle may process your personal data to enforce or defend our or third
parties' legal rights or legitimate interests, where necessary, objectively, and proportionally (Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
4 Disclosure of your personal data to others
Society of Lifestyle may disclose your personal data to other suppliers and/or service providers in the ordinary course of our business, including to our group affiliates.
Society of Lifestyle may also disclose your personal data to a public authority in situations where we are specifically obliged to disclose your personal data pursuant to legislation and notification obligations to which we are subject.
We try to limit the disclosure of personally identifiable information and thus the disclosure of information that can be attributed to you personally.
Society of Lifestyle also discloses your personal data to data processors if this is required to fulfil the purpose. Our data processors only process your personal data for our purposes and under ourinstructions.
5 Transfer of personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA
In connection with our processing of your personal data, we may transfer such information to countries outside the EU/EEA.
The data protection legislation in these countries may be less strict than the legislation applying in Denmark and other parts of the EU/EEA. However, in some countries, the EU Commission has determined that the level of data protection is equivalent to the level of protection in the EU/EEA. If we transfer personal data to countries where this is not the case, the transfer of
your personal data to these countries outside the EU/EEA will be based on the Standard Contractual Clauses drawn up by the European Commission and specifically designed to ensure an adequate level of protection.

6 Retention period, data integrity and security
Your personal data will not be kept longer than is necessary for the purpose. When your personal data is no longer needed, we will ensure that it is deleted in a secure manner.
It is our policy to protect personal data by taking adequate technical and organisational security measures.
We have implemented security measures to ensure data protection for all personal data that we process. We conduct regular internal follow-ups on the adequacy of and compliance with policies and measures.
As a data subject, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. If you want to exercise your rights, please contact us.
You may – unconditionally and at any time – withdraw your consent. You can do so by sending us an email (see email address above). Withdrawal of your consent will not have any negative impact. However, this may mean that we cannot meet specific requests from you in the future. Withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before it is withdrawn. Furthermore, it will not affect any processing carried out on another lawful basis.
You can also – unconditionally and at any time – object to our processing when it is based on our legitimate interests.
Your rights also include the following:
· Right of access: You have the right to access the personal data we process about you.
· Right to rectification: You have the right to obtain rectification of any inaccurate and incomplete personal data about you.
· Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): In exceptional cases, you have the right to obtain erasure of information about you before the time when we would normally delete your personal data.
· Right to restriction of processing: In certain situations, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data. If you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data, we may only process personal data in the future – apart from storage – with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or to protect an individual or important public interests.
· Right to object: In certain situations, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, and always if the processing is for direct marketing purposes.
· Right to data portability: In certain situations, you have the right to
receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have such personal data transferred from one data controller to another.
