Vintage finds, chrome details, and instinctive styling define Lone’s home in Randers. Here, handmade ceramics, flea market discoveries and favourite pieces from House Doctor come together in a space that is constantly evolving.

Defined by space, light, and instinct
The 156 m2 apartment @decor_and_vintage shares with her daughter has only been theirs for just over a year, yet it already feels quite settled. Everything has its place – and at the same time, something is always changing.
Because for Lone, decorating and styling is not about following certain rules. It is about intuition.
“Every single thing in my home is chosen with my heart. It doesn’t have to match – it just has to feel right to me.”
Her style is eclectic, playful, and very personal. Vintage designs sit next to newer pieces, while materials such as handmade ceramics, chrome, and pinewood coexist without overthinking.

Space to experiment
Large rooms and generous daylight give Lone plenty of freedom to always rethink her home. “I’m never really finished decorating,” she says with a smile. “It’s an ongoing process.”
She swaps pieces around regularly, allowing the rooms to shift with her mood and the season.
For Lone, atmosphere is created through materials and small details. Fresh flowers gathered from the roadside. Natural textures like wood, leather, and ceramics. Pieces that carry a story.

A collection with character
Lone’s intuitive approach to interiors is also how she chooses new design pieces. She is naturally drawn to items that stand out – something she also finds in her favourite pieces from the new House Doctor collection.
“I don’t go for the safe pieces. I like the ones with a bit of edge,” she explains.
For her, the collection feels like a clear evolution. Chrome and steel introduce a cool contrast to the natural materials already present in her home.
“There’s something braver about the new collection. It’s not too safe, and I like that.”
